1:00 - 4:00 “Botanical Blueprints”
Debe Loughlin
Imagine coves and islands hiding within the shape of seaweed. A self-described island girl, Debe Loughlin, uses a photographic printing process called cyanotype to create maps of islands that come straight from imagination. These botanical “blueprints” can illustrate coves, harbors, villages and much more along the seaweed’s edge.

5:30 - 8:30 “Seaweed Printing”
James Sylvester
The beauty found in seaweed can be brought forward with the printmaking processes. James Sylvester brings many years of printmaking experience to the InPress program. He will discuss various printmaking tools and techniques. Celebrate Seaweed Week by learning to create multi layer gelatin plate prints using dried seaweed. After this creative experience, we are sure youwill never look at seaweed the same again.
